The Stuff That Blobs Are Made Of..
Hey all!
For those of you who made it to the Attack of the B Movies show on thursday at the Gladstone art bar, thanks for dropping by and it was awesome to see you! For those who couldn't make it I'm posting my painting/drawing submission to the art show here on my blog, with a few earlier roughs. I chose to title it "The Stuff That Blobs Are Made Of" Great show all around! Everyones interpretations were amazing! Enjoy the horror!
The Blob contained..for now.....Roughing out the idea.
The fly that would not leave my palette alone! I think the fleshy colours were too attractive for her..
There is only one way to fully understand what it would be like to be consumed by the blob..

Finally!
Hey Friends!
I know i've been away for a bit, new job and all! But I just wanted to post about my Directorial debut cartoon!
Last year the band "Lake of Stew" approached me through Dare to Care records and ask if I would like to do an animated video for their song "Hey Bully". I said yes indeed! Then when Bravo!Fact coughed up some dough, I got to work on it. Three months and many a friend helping out, we finished late last fall!
I'm proud to present,
HEY BULLY by Lake of Stew!
An animated video by yours truly.
It even has it's own Blog page! All Credits, Leica reel and design drawings can be found here!! CRICKET CARTOONS! Let's hope there are more to come!!

Imature Octodoodle

I squirted this little one out while taking a break from some well needed storyboard work. I think he might be an imaginary recycling of and old Nick Price design of a baby Octopus from the Dr. Snuggles episode "The Sensational balloon race"
If yer not familiar with the Dr. Snuggles cartoon, here is a nice breakdown.

A very fast drawing of me getting fired by my boss, for leaving his space monkey outside, in the future, on a spaceship.
A few weeks ago I was asked by a good old Friend (Erica Douglas,a teacher at Havenwood public school, whom I've known since Kindergarden) to participate in an after school reading class for an installment on illustration and cartoons. For about 40 minutes I was entertained by the most imaginative questions that only 8-10 year old kids could muster. I did my best to maintain an air of maturity as I answered there questions and share my reading interests. Eventually I ran out of time and had to conjure up this wonder of a drawing. The concept is a collaboration of about 18 kids yelling ideas at me. I wish I had kids for a boss more often. They are very forgiving, I find...here is the result-
